PURPOSE:To obtain the titled inhibitor effective in preventing and remedying the complication of diabetes, by using an extract of a plant of genus Potentilla. CONSTITUTION:The whole grass or root of a plant of genus Potentilla, e.g. Potentilla candicans or Potentilla aurea is extracted with water or an aqueous organic solvent (e.g. aqueous alcohol). The objective agent contains, as an active component, the obtained extracted liquid, a dried extract produced by drying said extract by spray drying, concentration to dryness, etc., or a fraction separated from said extracted liquid. |
