<p>PURPOSE:To improve a moisture absorption property of a voltage nonlinear resistor for improving insulating resistance value in order to obtain the voltage nonlinear resistor having a good voltage nonlinear index, thunder surge capacity, make-and-break surge capacity and a good charged life characteristic. CONSTITUTION:At least one component of bismuth oxide, antimony oxide, manganium oxide, chrome oxide, cobalt oxide, nickel oxide, silicon oxide and boron added to and mixed with a raw material mainly composed of zinc oxide as an adding component, and a binding agent is added to this mixture in order to later obtain a sintered body by granulation, molding, temporary firing and regular firing. In this way, at the time of manufacturing a voltage nonlinear resistor, descending temperature treatment in this firing process is performed in the range of y>=60/(150x+1) in case descending temperature speed ( deg.C/hr) shall be (y) and an addition amount (wt.%) of boron converted into B2O3 shall be (x). This boron is added, for instance, in a form of boron oxide, boric acid or glass and the adding amount is desirably under 0.03wt.%. Further, descending temperature speed is suitably under 150 deg.C/hr.</p> |
