Elevator assembly for platform, particularly for theatre stage podium or the like, comprising at least one quadrilateral-shaped upper surface 1, characterised in that it comprises at least the following together: - on the one hand four vertical jacks 9 positioned near the four corners of the podium A1, the bodies 9a of the jacks being integral with a support, the moving shafts 9b of the said jacks being integral with the upper surface 1, - on the other hand two crosspieces 4 each formed of two arms 4a, 4b movable in two vertical parallel planes around a common central axis 13, fixed together by a mechanical connection 12, mounted between the said support and one of the surfaces of the podium A1 and controlled during the movement phases by the eccentricity of the total load carried by the said podium.
