PURPOSE:To keep off any thermal deformation due to direct sunlight or the like as well as to make improvements in machining accuracy by installing a member, while connects both upper and lower surfaces of an arm and being excellent in heat conductivity, in a turning arm part of a rotary cutting device for an extra-large tool rest. CONSTITUTION:In a box sectional arm part 4 connecting a rotary driving part 2 to a tool rest 3, a member 9, which serves as arm reinforcement and is excellent in heat conductivity, performing a radiating action, for example, a heat pipe is installed in a space between an arm upper plate 5 and an arm bottom plate 6. If doing like this, when an extra-large machine structure 1 is machined, thermal deformation due to a temperature distribution difference to be produced in a rotary cutting device of the tool rest 3 is prevented from occurring, so that a wavy phenomenon of 0.5mm-1.0mm or so being produced at the time of machining can be brought to nothing. |
