The screw comprises a shank (1) with a thread (2) formed on it at one end and means (3) for engagement by a turning tool at the other, adjacent to which is a larger-dia. thread (5) of the same pitch and handing. The second thread is formed on a sleeve (4) turning, but not sliding, on the shank, also with means (6) for engagement by a turning tool. The sleeve can have a shoulder engaging behind a flange on the shank and containing lengthwise slots so as to form spring fingers enclosing the flange in the radial direction. USE - Screw with portions of two different dias. allows adjustment of clearance between panel etc. and wall after screw has been installed.
