PURPOSE:To improve moisture resistance and to enhance the adhesiveness between a vapor deposited Al part of an optical recording medium formed on a plastic substrate and an adhesive agent by bringing a chelating agent into contact with the vapor deposited Al part to form an Al-chelate compd. film thereon. CONSTITUTION:S for preventing deterioration is generally incorporated into the adhesive agent used for the optical recording medium. The S elutes from the adhesive agent in the process of transmission and forms the water having strong corrosiveness when an extremely slight amt. of moisture infiltrates the medium from the outside. The corrosion of the vapor deposited Al part is then extremely accelerated. A stable protective film which is hardly soluble in water is formed if the Al-chelate compd. film 3 is formed on the vapor deposited Al part 2 and, therefore, the sufficient corrosion resistance is maintained even if the water having the strong corrosiveness arrives at said part. The adhesiveness between the vapor deposited Al part 2 and the adhesive agent is thereby enhanced and the optical recording medium having the excellent moisture resistance is obtd. |
