PURPOSE:To obtain a laminate type electrophotographic sensitive body high in sensitivity and small in rise of residual potential after repeated long uses by incorporating 2 pigments represented by specified formulae in an electric charge generating layer. CONSTITUTION:The charge generating layer contains one of the pigments represented by formula I, each of A1 and A2 being a coupler residue having a phenolic OH group; R being H, optionally substituted alkyl, aralkyl, aryl, or acyl; and each of Ar1 and Ar2 being an optionally substituted arylene, and one of the pigments represented by formula II, each of A3 and A4 being a coupler residue having a phenolic OH group, each of Ar3 and Ar4 being an optionally substituted arylene or heterocyclic group, and A5 being -N=N- or -CH=CH-, added before dispersion in an amount of <=0.4wt.% of said pigment, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive body to be enhanced in dispersion characteristics and stability of a coating fluid, and consequently, to be high in sensitivity and small in rise of residual potential even after repeated long uses. |
