The invention relates to a motorised cultivator 10 including a framework 12, a motor 18 mounted on the front part of the framework 12 and including an output shaft 20, a transmission casing 22 mounted on the rear part of the framework 12 and having an input shaft 26, a cultivating member 50 coupled operationally to the said input shaft 26, and an energy transmission mechanism 28 for transmitting the output energy of the motor 18 from the said output shaft 20 to the said input shaft 26. According to the invention this motorised cultivator is characterised in that the said framework 12 comprises a pair of lateral panels 14, 15 spaced laterally apart and including two horizontal parts 14a, 15a extending longitudinally, parts 14b, 15b extending upwards from the said horizontal parts 14a, 15a, and parts 14c, 15c extending downwards from the said horizontal parts 14a, 15a, the said transmission casing 22 being sandwiched between the said parts 14a, 15a extending downwards, and in that a handle 60 is attached to the upwardly extending parts. By virtue of the invention, the vibrations of the transmission casing 22 are not transmitted to the handle 60. <IMAGE>
