In an installation for manufacturing a metal sheet, especially a thin, plane sheet, for example for use as a mould for a CD disc, by means of electroplating in an electrolyte, use is made of an electrically conducting moulding disc as the cathode 3 in a vessel 1. A screen 5, for example a plastic disc, having an opening 5a is located between the cathode 3 and the anode 4. The cathode is placed at a distance from the anode which is less than 50 mm and at a distance from the screen which is less than 10 mm, in association with which turbulent flow, even along the outer parts of the cathode, is ensured irrespective of the speed with which electrolyte liquid is supplied to the area for the opening via a nozzle 6. The cathode 3 is rotatably supported by a commutator axle 10a and is pivotable around an axle 12 by means of a drive 11.
