<p>PURPOSE: To reduce the loss of release of a clutch by connecting the shaft bore to the baffle chamber, abutting the axial piston on the shaft portion and biasing the axial piston with at least one return spring, arranging structurally the lubricating valve in a wall of the baffle and operably connecting it between the baffle chamber and the clutch chamber. CONSTITUTION: When a transmission is changed to an overdrive speed step, the lamellae clutch 2 is at engagement release condition, a cylinder 3, inner ring 30 and inner concentric gear 27 are braked by the engagement of the lamellae brake 22. Because the outer concentric gear 26 and the driven shaft 28 of the transmission are rotating at very high speed, relative rotation speed of the static inner ring 30 and the rotating outer ring 31 is very high, as well as the relative rotation speed of the rotating inner thin plate 9 and the static outer thin plate 8 is very high. But, at this condition, the lubricating valve 12 is close, by this constitution, lubricating oil is respectively accumulated in the baffle chamber 14 and the compensation room 16, and is shut in respect to the thin laminator 8, 9. As a result, the shear friction generated by the thin laminator 8, 9 is reduced.</p> |
