<p>PURPOSE:To extend a life of a magnetic head by providing a 1st rotary cylinder disposed with the magnetic head and a 2nd rotary cylinder formed with a protrusion part to be overlapped with the magnetic head and controlling both cylinders in phase so as to overlap the magnetic head with the protrusion part at the time other than of recording/reproducing so that a magnetic tape and the magnetic head are not brought into contact with each other. CONSTITUTION:The 1st rotary cylinder 21 fitted with the magnetic head 1 and the 2nd rotary cylinder 22 formed with the protrusion part 23 for preventing the magnetic head 1 from abutting on the magnetic tape 9 are coaxially provided. Then, when the recording/reproducing is not performed, the 1st and 2nd rotary cylinders 21 and 22 are controlled in rotating phase to rotate at the same speed, so as to overlap the magnetic head 1 with the protrusion part of the 2nd rotary cylinder 22, and hence the magnetic tape 9 and the magnetic head 1 are not brought into contact with each other. By this method, the life of a video head can thus be extended.</p> |
