PURPOSE:To effectively calculate a proper density and to set the proper density approximate to a real density value by selecting density set data and limiting the number thereof. CONSTITUTION:The title device is provided with a storage means 53 for storing the set density value in case of finally forming an image with a copying density set by a manual exposure function and a control means 51 obtaining the proper density by using only specified number of set density values, among the set density values stored in the storage means 53, in case of switching from an automatic exposure state to a manual exposure state and setting the density with the obtained proper density. Therefore, the proper density which is set in case of switching to the manual exposure state can be effectively calculated by setting the set density value in case of executing copying in the past manual exposure state and limiting the number thereof. Thus, the proper density approximate to the real density value can be set. |
