PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity, to prevent deterioration of potential acceptance due to preexposure fatigue and deterioration of potential acceptance characteristic after repeated cycles of charging and exposure, and to restrain rise of residual potential by incorporating aluminum nitride in an undercoat layer. CONSTITUTION:The undercoat layer formed between a conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer comprises aluminum nitride as a main component and, preferably, a binder resin, for example, thermoplastic resins, such as polyamide, polyester, and vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymers, and thermosetting resins, such as obtained by thermopolymerizing a compound having plural active hydrogen atoms. of -OH, -NH2, -NH, or the like with a compound having plural isocyanate and/or epoxy groups, thus permitting sensitivity to be enhanced, deterioration of potential acceptance due to preexposure fatigue and deterioration of potential acceptance characteristics after repeated cycles of charging and exposure to be prevented, and rise of residual potential to be restrained. |
