A drainage device 24 which is pushed in in the longitudinal direction is arranged in a cavity 22 of the lower frame profile 7 of a sash/leaf 4. The drainage device 24 exhibits a tubular carrier, the two end portions of which are adapted to the cavity cross-section and bear a sealing ring which interacts in a sealing manner with the inner-wall surface of the frame profile 7. The central portion of the carrier exhibits a constriction 31 which is formed above a diagonal surface 32 and is aligned with an inlet opening 21 in the upper wall 15, and an outlet opening 23 at the lower end of the outer wall 10, of the frame profile 7. Mounted on the carrier, with a horizontal axis, is a flap 35 which can be raised out of an open position, inclined towards the outlet opening 23, into a closed position which blocks off the inlet opening 21. The flap border 38 remote from the axis is adjacent, in the open position, to the outlet opening 23 and is arranged thereabove. Water which has penetrated into the sash 4 can, when the flap 35 is open, flow out to the outlet opening 23 via the inlet opening 21. In the event of external wind pressure, the air stream which has entered via the outlet opening 23 moves beneath the flap 35 and raises the latter into its closed position, with the result that the outside air can no longer penetrate into the sash 4. <IMAGE>
