Ice-water bath for removing the reaction heat in laboratory-size batches for preparing products or for wet-chemical analysis

For the purpose of cooling laboratory-size batches of preparations (diazotation, nitration and the like) or wet-chemical analyses (e.g. COD determination) an ice-bath cooler has been developed. By means of spatial separation into a cooling chamber and an ice chamber and forced liquid exchange between these chambers by means of a magnetic stirrer bar pump arranged below the cooling chamber, intensive heat removal from the reaction vessel is achieved, while the reaction batch can be readily observed at the same time.
