The invention relates to a blank, produced by casting, for a centrifugal pump impeller, equipped with a front cover disc and a rear cover disc and also blades running between the cover discs. The risk of cracks forming during the solidification and working of the casting is counteracted by the invention by means of webs (9) which connect the cover discs (6, 7) to one another and are arranged and dimensioned so that they completely cover the ends of the blades (8) at the outside diameter of the blank (5) (Fig. 4). <IMAGE> |
