A dismantleable framework comprises tubes, for example profile tubes, and in particular two-part connecting and/or clamping elements which are clamped releasably to said tubes, if appropriate further construction elements being fitted on individual tubes and/or connecting or clamping elements in accordance with the proposed usage. The framework exhibits at least one elongate profile element which is seated on a tube, encloses the latter fully, is of a predetermined length and comprises at least two separate shells which complement each other to form an essentially sleeve-shaped body, are fitted together on separating surfaces running parallel to the tube axis, and are connected to one another by means of latchable connecting devices.
