In known rotating tools having an adjustable cutting insert 11 with three cutting edges, said insert has a frustoconical seat in which the frustoconical head of a fixing screw 31 engages in order, when tightening the latter, to press the adjustable cutting insert 11 with two faces against bearing surfaces 19 and 27 of the cutting-insert receptacle and thereby precisely and fixedly set the circular path of the cutting edges. The invention is intended to make it possible to be able to precisely and fixedly set different cutting edge circular paths. To adjust the cutting-insert receptacle and thus the cutting edge circular path, provision is made for a wedge body 14 which can be adjusted by an adjusting screw 17. The rotating tool is intended for cutting metals, plastics or the like, in particular as a groove or side milling cutter. <IMAGE>
