The invention relates to a construction element made of incorrodible material, such as, for example, concrete, for constructing walls, parapets, slopes, screening or noise-protection walls and the like, enclosing filling spaces 8, 10, in a horizontal and/or vertical bond secured at least in sections by keying. In order in particular to create a unit which is easy to manipulate, is suitable for constructing a wide variety of structures and in addition is secured against unauthorised dismantling, the construction element is formed by a beam-shaped unit 1, 20 having plane top and bottom edges 2, 3 and two keying recesses 6, 7 arranged at a positional distance b, e from one another, orientated in opposite directions and leading into the top or bottom edge 2, 3. Here, the end-edge margin distance a of one keying recess 7 and the positional distance between the keying recesses 6 and 7 of one exemplary embodiment are identical, the end-edge margin distance c of the other keying recess 6 being greater by the size of the unit width.
