Snowploughs are generally equipped with a snow-dust guard. In the use of such devices, it is however not always possible to fully prevent snow dust from whirling up and then settling on the windows of the vehicle. To guarantee better flow conditions and also largely prevent the ascent of whirled-up snow dust, an air passage section (17) is formed underneath the snow-dust guard (9) and above the actual clearing region (3) of the plough blade or of the plough-blade segments (2). This air passage section (17) may consist, for example, of a perforated or split strip (19). The snow-dust guard is especially suitable for the clearing of snow from roads, but also railway tracks. <IMAGE>
