PURPOSE:To make it possible to reduce the process steps and work hours of manufacturing electric fan guards, by carrying out a scrapless working process of complementary stock layout for reducing the cost of materials, and integrally incorporating guard rods with a small ring. CONSTITUTION:The intermittent operation of a punch is carried out to a rolled metal material for a complementary stock layout by which two comb parts 20 of left and right are simultaneously fabricated, and the band side 21 of the thus obtained comb part 23 is curved into a circular shape so that a small ring 24 is formed and the teeth 22 of the comb part are expanded radially for obtaining guard rods 25. The guard rods 25 are bent into a substantially L-like shape, and then the free ends thereof are fixed to a large ring (not shown). Thereby, the manufacturing process is simplified and rationalized in comparison with the conventional process in which the guard rods 25 and the small ring are separately formed and then assembled, and as well the productivity and uniformity of the manufactured parts may be enhanced. Further, the cost of material is aimed at being reduced due to that the yield of materials is enhanced. |
