Spreading appliance, especially fertiliser broadcaster, which has a funnel-shaped supply container equipped with at least one respective baseplate and with adjustable outflow orifices, the outflow orifices being located in the baseplate and at least one spreading device drivable in rotation about a vertical axis being located closely and directly underneath the baseplate, and there being arranged in the supply container an at least approximately horizontally arranged and rotary-drivable agitator shaft which has agitator elements and which is driven at a substantially lower rotational speed than the spreading device.
