PURPOSE:To obtain a hair cosmetic having strongly antimicrobial and germicidal effects, high safety and dandruff preventing effects, by blending benzoic acid with hinokitiol and a purified oil of Melaleuka alternifoia. CONSTITUTION:A hair cosmetic obtained by blending benzoic acid with hinokitiol and/or a purified oil of Melaleuka alternifoia, showing antibacterial effects by synergistic effects with a low concentration, especially sufficient antimicrobial effects on Pityrosporum ovale to cause dandruff. The amounts of each component blended are 0.001-1.0wt.% benzoic acid, 0.001-1.0wt.% hinokitiol and 0.01-2.0wt.% purified oil of Melaleuka alternifoia and the total amounts are preferably 0.01-3.0wt.%. |
