PURPOSE:To prevent soft feces of adult chickens and contrive improvement in egg quality and enrichment of nutrient ingredients, by blending maize residues as a cereal ingredient of a feed for adult chicken with other ingredients. CONSTITUTION:Grains separated from corncobs are pulverized and sieved to produce a maize. In the process, maize residues left on a sieve are recovered. Thereby the maize residues which have hitherto been mostly discarded are effectively utilized and used as a cereal ingredient of a feed for adult chickens to produce the aimed feed. Since the maize residues contain more crude fats, crude fibers, vitamins, minerals and linoleic acid than those of maize, the residues are useful as the feed ingredient. Furthermore, the maize residues are preferably used in a state of rather coarse particles. Thereby habit of selecting and eating grains by chicken can be utilized. Since the embryo bud parts are present sticking to the base parts, chickens are attracted by palatability of the embryo buds, resulting in eating of also the basal part. |
