NOVEL BACILLUS SP. WRD-2 ISOLATED FROM SOIL AND COMPOSITION OF ANTIFUNGAL AGENT USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Provided are novel Bacillus sp. WRD-2 isolated from soil, which has excellent antifungal activity to Fusarium oxysporum and a composition of antifungal agent using the same. CONSTITUTION: The novel Bacillus sp. WRD-2(KCTC 0869BP) is isolated by the steps of: selecting 3 kinds of strains from soil; culturing them in an optimum medium for measuring antifungal activity to Fusarium oxysporum; and screening a strain, Bacillus sp. WRD-2(KCTC 0869BP), showing excellent antifungal activity. The composition of antifungal agent characteristically contains Bacillus sp. WRD-2(KCTC 0869BP) as an active ingredient.
