<p>Motor-driven mould clamping mechanism generating a large clamping force when a motor of a small output is used, has ball nuts engaged with threads which are cut in the opposite directions in ball screws rotated by motors, and movable wedges connecting together by links. According to the rotation of the motors, the links contract or expand to move the wedges forward or backward with a large force. When the wedges are moved forward, they press and engage fixed wedges formed on a mould base of a mould, so that the mould is set firmly on a fixed board or a movable board.</p> |
