PURPOSE: To improve the quality of a picture at the time of displaying single- color lines by using an array obtained by systematically arraying plural parallelogram-shaped display elements. CONSTITUTION: An array 300 is the azimuth of parallelogram bodies arrayed on alternate line patterns, a display element 302 on a 1st line has plural parallelogram bodies inclined from a vertical direction to the left and a display element 301 on an adjacent 2nd line is provided with parallelogram display elements inclined from the vertical direction to the right. As shown by lines 306, 308, 310 penetrated through the array, the maximum value of effective line width of non-driven display elements existing among driven display elements is sharply reduced. In addition, suddenness in the change of intensity is sharply released along a line L3. Consequently lines of a single color can be displayed on a screen as a highly quality image. |
