PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of fog caused by heat without injuring development by incorporating a specified amount of iridium per 1mol. of silver halide in the part of a photosensitive silver halide. CONSTITUTION:The heat development photosensitive material contains the silver halide contg. 1X10<-9>-1X10<-5>mol. iridium per 1mol. silver halide in at least one part of the photosensitive silver halide. The silver halide contains preferably the silver chloride having <=50mol.% the total amount of silver halide to obtain the high sensitivity of said photosensitive material. And, said material contains preferably <=10mol.% silver iodide in the point of the rapidity of the development. And, for the iridium a water-soluble iridium salt is used and allowed to exist in courses of preparing a silver halide emulsion such as a particle formation, a physical aging and a chemical sensitization, etc. Thus, the generation of the fog caused by the heat, without injuring development can be prevented. |
