<p>PURPOSE:To improve the maintenance efficiency of the title system by providing a function to generate a power source abnormality interruption at an expansion- adapter, fetching an abnormal part and its cause into a register in the expansion- adapter, reading the contents of the register based on a prescribed program, and displaying them on a prescribed displaying means. CONSTITUTION:A power source abnormality notification generating means A is provided at the power source controller of an added device for an input/output control adapter connected to an expansion-bus, and generates a power source abnormal signal and a power source abnormal factor signal. A first interruption generating means B is connected through a basic bus to a central processing unit, and when it receives the power source abnormal signal, it generates the interrupting signal to the central processing unit. A second interruption generating means C is connected into the central processing unit, and when it receives the power source abnormal signal and the power source abnormal factor signal, it sets them at the internal register. When an interruption processing means D receives the interrupting signal, it reads the contents of the internal register by the prescribed program, analyzes an abnormal code, displays the abnormal part on a system console, etc. Thus, the abnormal part can be easily discovered and the maintenance efficiency is improved.</p> |
