While setting a decision quantity L in accordance with cooling water temperature, a reference value R, based on this decision quantity L, is input to a reset decision part 22. In a predetermined water temperature, because the reference value R is placed in a low level, when each partial correction value changes due to a change of gasoline quality or the like, a control is decided exceeding the reference value R being reset to the total correction. When cooling water is in low or high temperature, because the decision quantity L and the reference value R are set to a high level, even when each partial correction value changes following a change of the knocking limit, the control is difficult to be reset to the total correction. Accordingly, limiting a restudy for a temporary condition of low or high temperature of water, the ignition timing control is stabilized.
