PURPOSE:To transmit even more torque by alternately forming high and low parts having the common side part on a clutch drum to reduce the face pressure of a clutch plate in contact with the side face of spline teeth. CONSTITUTION:A clutch drum 100 has both high parts 100a and low parts 100b alternately formed in connection with each other, one high part 100a and one low part 100b next to each other having a common side part 100c. The spline tooth 116a of an external clutch plate 116 and the spline tooth 106a of an internal clutch plate 106 are engaged in opposing high part 100b and 100a so that the side part 100c is subject to the pressure from the internal and external clutch plates 106 and 116. So the entire circumferential part of the clutch drum 100 is used for spline engagement so that power transmission may be executed via many teeth. |
