PURPOSE:To prevent variation of hearth temp. by calculating a settling index at furnace core, predicting change of the hearth temp., changing height of fusing zone and pressure loss in the furnace, etc., and controlling the settling index at the furnace core. CONSTITUTION:At first, the settling index at the furnace core indexing the degree, which the furnace core settles into basin at lower part of the furnace, is calculated from the equation. Successively, the index value to become the critical point whether the furnace core flats up or not is found from the relation between this index and the hearth temp. When the settling index at the furnace core is changed to the critical point, the height of the fusing zone and/or the pressure loss, etc., in the furnace are changed to adjust the settling index at the furnace core and control the hearth temp. By this method, the variation of the hearth temp. is prevented and the stable operation can be executed. |
