PURPOSE:To obtain a high-sensitivity image which has no yellowish tone in the formed image by developing an exposed image forming material by a solvent which can dissolve the photopolymerizable resist layer and colored recording layer of an unexposed part to form the image, then subjecting the material to a special processing. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive image forming material formed by laminating the colored recording layer, the photopolymerizable resist layer and a transparent cover sheet in this order on a base is subjected to image exposing. After the transparent cover sheet is stripped at need, the unexposed part of the photopolymerizable resist layer and the colored recording layer is dissolved by the development processing to form the colored image consisting of the colored recording layer and the photoset photopolymerizable resist layer. The photoset photopolymerizable resist layer is then dissolved and/or stripped and is thereby removed from the colored image; in succession, this colored image is brought into tight contact with a material to be transferred and the base is stripped, by which the colored image is transferred to the material to be transferred.
