摘要 PURPOSE: A gateway and a method for processing signals inputted through a high-speed CAN(Control Area Network) port of a vehicle are provided to enable a unit connected to the high-speed CAN port to communicate with the units having a signal processing protocol different from the high-speed CAN protocol, only if the units are connected to a communication port of the gateway. CONSTITUTION: The high-speed CAN port(10) is connected to the unit communicating through the high-speed CAN protocol. A low-speed CAN driver converts(25) the signal inputted through the high-speed CAN port into a low-speed CAN protocol by connecting to low-speed CAN ports(20) connected to the low-speed CAN protocol unit, newly sets the input signal with the converted protocol, and output it. A K-line driver(35) converts the signal inputted through the high-speed CAN port into a K-line protocol by connecting to K-line ports(30) connected to the K-line protocol unit, newly sets the input signal with the converted protocol, and output it. A microcontroller(50) determines that the unit connected to the high speed CAN port communicates with which one of the ports.
