A shaping tool comprises a tubular cutter (1) and a plunger (2, 3) having an external shape corresponding to an internal shape of the cutter and having a flat end surface for pressing against a plug of material held by the cutter (1) and for applying a decorative design to the plug of mouldable material. At least one of the cutter (1) and the plunger (2, 3) is provided with means, such as bosses (14-17), for arresting relative motion between the plunger and the cutter in an embossing mode and allowing such relative motion in a cutting mode. |
