PURPOSE:To prevent colors from being mixed in the presence of a plurality of color patterns in the same area to obtain a readable color image, by providing a control means for forming an image in a color of a color pattern having a higher color priority. CONSTITUTION:When a power is supplied to a color printer capable of a two- color printing with Red and Black, a printing color flag 6a and a priority color flag 6b in a RAM 6 are initialized. The data is received from a host computer 2 and stored in a receive buffer 4, and the data for one unit code is read from the receive buffer 4. If the data is command, the data is branched according to the command. When a judgement in done that the data is print out command, if Red is set by the priority color flag 6b, the bits of information in a Red buffer 6d is reversed, the information in the Red buffer 6d is ANDed with the information in a Black buffer 6c, and the result is stored in the Black buffer 6c. After the bits of the information in the Red buffer 6d is reversed, the information in the Black buffer 6c and the Red buffer 6d is printed by an output part 7. |
