The toilet seat has a support component, at a distance from which projects an outlet pipe (4) connecting into a sewer (5). The support component, outlet pipe and sewer are so dimensioned (D4,D5) and positioned (L1,L2) that at least the outer end (6) of the outlet pipe can be inserted into a connecting part (7) of the sewer. There is a space (U) communicating with the surrounding atmosphere of the toilet seat and formed between the interior (17) of the connecting part and the outlet pipe exterior (16). The ventilation system incorporates an electrically driven fan (9). A connecting box (8) extends around the outlet pipe but not the support component, and tightly connects partly to the outlet pipe and partly either to the sewer or a wall surface surrounding it, or even to the fan. The box limits an outer space (Y) so that the inner space between the sewer connecting part and the outlet pipe outer can communicate with the atmosphere surrounding the toilet seat only via the outer space and the fan. The fan impels air from around the seat via the outer space limited by the connecting box and the inner space inside the sewer. |
