<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently treat water with a small-sized device without clogging by lowering water to be treated to a bed part where granular carriers are fluidized by gas, then rising the water in a filter bed consisting of granular filter media. CONSTITUTION:The water to be treated is introduced from a raw water inlet at the top of a treatment tank 1 of a waste water treating device for service water, night soil, etc., into the fluidized bed A where the carriers are kept fluidized by the gas such as air from a blow pipe 6, by which the water is biologically treated. The treated water enters the filter bed B from the lower part thereof and is turned upward in said bed so that suspended matter such as sludge is captured. The treated water rises in an inside cylinder 3 thereafter and flows to the outside of the system. The contaminated filter media are withdrawn from an ejector 17 operated by the circulating water and is admitted into a cleaning and separating tank 9. The filter media are cleaned by the water balance of a liquid level controller 12 in said tank. The cleaned media are returned to the filter bed B. The water is thus treated effectively in the fluidized bed of the gasliquid counter current and the fluidized bed of the upward current of the water, by which the clogging is prevented.</p> |
