PURPOSE: To provide a lighting system whose service life is extended by adopting a structure wherein a whole base part of a lamp is covered with a radiating member, which is closely contacted to a box body and through this box body heat radiation is performed, and hence the lamp is prevented from reaching a high temperature. CONSTITUTION: When a power supply is switched on, a halogen lamp 3 starts to emit light and generate heat. Rays of light emitted from this halogen lamp 3 are gathered by concave mirrors 4 and 4 and are reflected upward. On the other hand, heat generated by the halogen lamp 3 is transmitted to a base part 15 that consists of a metal material having a high thermal conductivity. The heat that is transmitted to this base part 15 is transferred to an aluminum block 7 is arranged in contact with the base part 15, and further transferred to a base plate of a lamp house 1. Since the lamp house 1 is composed of thermal conductor members having a high thermal conductivity, heat that is transmitted to the base plate of the lamp house 1 is further diffused to its side plates. Thus, a heat dissipation function is enhanced and hence the service life of the lamp can be extended. |
