摘要 The invention relates to a method for producing basic aluminium polychloride and/or aluminium polychlorosulphate solutions having for general formula respectively: AI (OH)aClb / dY, wherein a+b =3 and/or AI (OH)aClb (SO4)c/dY, wherein a = 3-b-2c, a, b, c, and d are positive integer or fractional non null numbers with the following coefficients: 1,50 < a < 1.89 and 0,001 < d < 0.125, wherein Y is a stabiliser, preferably selected from boron and silicon compounds whose basicity ranges from 50 % to 63 % and an alumina content expressed as Al2O3 in weight range of 15 - 22 %. Said inventive method is characterised in that it consists in reacting an aluminium chloride solution (AlCl3) with a commercial aluminium hydroxide (Al(OH)3) with stirring at a temperature raised to a level ranging from 160 to 200 DEG C for 60-120 minutes, in holding at said level for 15 minutes to 4 hours and in filtering. The stabiliser can be added at any previous point. The solutions obtained by said method and the use thereof in the form of flocculent for water treatment are also disclosed.
