PURPOSE:To effectively remove fine dust by providing the exhaust gas cooling means consisting of a supercooled element provided on the upstream side of a bent plate-type mist eliminator and a non-cooled part and an exhaust gas mixing means arranged directly after the cooling means. CONSTITUTION:The supercooled element 17 and non-cooled part 18 adjacent to each other with a gas passage partition plate 16 in between are provided on the surface orthogonal to the gas flow on the upstream side of the bent plate-type mist eliminator 23. In addition, the exhaust gas mixing means 23 is provided directly after the non-cooled part 18 to form the supercooled mist eliminator 14. In such a constitution, exhaust gas is treated in the absorption tower 3, and then introduced into the eliminator 14. A part of the saturated exhaust gas is further cooled, and the cooled saturated exhaust gas is rapidly mixed with the residual uncooled saturated exhaust gas in the exhaust gas mixing means 23. As a result, the steam in the exhaust gas is condensed on the dust surface with the dust as the nucleus, hence the diameter of the mist is increased, and the mist is effectively collected and removed by the bent plate-type mist eliminator 23. In this case, fine dust is removed simultaneously with the mist. |
