PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable selecting any one of a contractor line number or an additional number for each telephone to notify a calling number without providing a private branch exchange having a caller number selecting function. SOLUTION: In an IP telephone gateway device 100, a transmission request sent from a telephone is detected, and a number registered for calling a number notification of the telephone having issued a transmission request this time is acquired from a calling number notifying table in which numbers used for calling number notification are set for each telephone from the contractor line numbers and the additional numbers. An INVITE containing this acquired number, and the INVITE is sent to the CA server 11 arranged on the IP network and playing a role as a network host in the IP telephone.
