PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast reception system and a digital broadcast receiver capable of easily and surely managing a card ID of a B-CAS card located to each digital broadcast receiver in a facility wherein many of the digital broadcast receivers used by many unspecified users are installed. SOLUTION: The digital broadcast reception system is provided with: the plurality of digital broadcast receivers 8, 8, ..., installed in a facility premises used by many unspecified users, each located with a card medium fixedly storing identification information unique to the medium and capable of storing release information of broadcast on which viewing limit is placed, and storing the release information obtained by the reception of digital broadcast to the card media; and a front computer 4 that stores in advance the identification information of the card medium loaded to the plurality of digital broadcast receivers 8, 8, ..., acquires the identification information of the card medium loaded respectively to the digital broadcast receivers 8, 8, ... at that point of time from the digital broadcast receivers 8, 8, ..., and displays the acquired identification information in cross-reference with the stored identification information.
