<p>A pulley (40, 140, 240) having an axially extending annular belt engaging wall construction (42, 142, 242) including an axial wall portion (44, 144, 146, 244, 246) formed of sheet metal. The circular wall portion has an annular bend (54, 154, 254) in an intermediate annular area thereof and extends therefrom radially outwardly and axially outwardly to a hub construction (56, 156, 256). The hub construction comprises a first part forming integrally from the sheet metal into a cylindrical wall structure (58, 158, 258) extending axially inwardly from the circular wall portion; and a second part (60, 160, 260) is made of sheet metal to include a cylindrical wall portion (64, 164, 264) having an annular flange (66, 166, 266) extending therefrom rigidly fixed to the circular wall portion. The cylindrical wall structure and portion include aligned interior cylindrical shaft engaging surfaces (68, 168, 268). The axially outward end of the cylindrical wall portion provides an integral radially outwardly extending annular lip (70, 174, 278) suitable to be operatively engaged by a pulling tool.</p> |
