<p>A fluid pressure braking system includes pressure sensors (50, 54, 56, 58) in each of the supply and service reservoirs (16, 28, 30) and in the supply line (46) to the trailer. The system includes an air compressor (12) which is loaded and unloaded in response to variations in the pressure level in the supply reservoir (16) by actuation of a solenoid valve (22) by an electronic control module (26) which is responsive to the pressure sensors. The system includes spring brakes (66) which are controlled by the control module (26) through actuation of solenoid valves (74). The control module (26) is similarly responsive to the pressure level in the supply line (46) to control a solenoid valve (42) which controls communication through the supply line (46).</p> |
