A protective cover material in contact with the surface of the display part of a flat panel display formed of a high molecular film having a surface roughness of 0.5 to 20 mum by 10-point average roughness. The high molecular film is desirably subjected to antistatic treatment. The high molecular film is 40% or less in haze. Accordingly, since the surface of the display part is fitted to the protective cover material, the surface of the display part can be prevented from being optically changed in color tone or remarkably stained due to the accumulation of vapor and wetting at that portion. In addition, the occurrence of scratches caused by the rubbing of the surface of the display part against refuse held between the protective cover material and the surface of the display part during transportation can be suppressed. |
