The invention relates to a device enabling hot water to be produced. It consists of an aluminium tube 1, closed on one side by an end-plate 6 and on the other side by an end-plate 13. Inside is placed an aluminium block 9, the cutting of which forms deep helical grooves 18 through which are placed, transversely, 18 thin aluminium tubes 17 connected via bridges. A heat-transfer fluid is forced into the device by a pump 4 into the tangential inlet 3, flows in the deep grooves 18 and is heated by friction. It is exhausted via the tangential outlet 5 and then returns to the pump 4, acting as a closed circuit. The water to be heated is forced by the circulation pump 19 into the orifice 14, travels along the developed length of the tubes 17 and then emerges via the orifice 15 at a temperature of the order of 90 DEG C. Several modules can be coupled together depending on the volumes to be heated by means of the heat diffusers. <IMAGE>
