A childproof dropper closure system comprises a container (11) with a mouth on which are mounted a number of locking fingers (20) between the edges of which are grooves (21) and which have retaining slots (26), a pot-shaped closure cap with an annular front face and moulded wall on the inner edge of which are retaining cams, and a dropper attachment which is mounted in the cap. The dropper attachment has a flexible resilient flange which co-operates with the container mouth and the cap in such a way that the cap is maintained in a closed position by the resilience of the flange. The retaining cams inside the cap engage in the retaining slots of the locking fingers on the bottle mouth. When the cap is depressed and turned, the retaining cams are disengaged and engage in the grooves between the locking fingers, in which they can slide upward as the cap is removed. |
