摘要 Optical waveguide lines are known which have the following construction: in the core, a plurality of optical waveguides (2) is stranded with or around a strand of reinforcing fibres (1) of an aramid or glass, the interfaces are filled with a water-proofing filler (3), and around it there is a sheath (4) of an elastomer-polymer. An optical waveguide line of this kind shall be designed for use in strip-mining conveying equipment. The solution essentially consists in that a) two further sheaths (7 and 9) of crosslinked elastomers are applied around the line sheath (4) and a tension and torsion relief lining (8) is embedded in the outer sheath (9), b) at least one layer (5) of yarn of high tensile strength is arranged between the line sheath and the intermediate sheath (4 and 7, respectively), leaving play for the optical waveguide line, and c) a heat-insulating wrapping (6) is applied over it. In short: the optical waveguide line is arranged with its sheath (4) so as to float and in a heat-insulating manner in the two outer sheaths (7 and 9). An optical waveguide line of this kind is preferably used for conveying equipment in strip mining, such as spreaders and diggers (excavators). <IMAGE>
