The known suspended monorails have the disadvantage that they cannot be adapted to the requirements which frequently change during normal operating cycles and in particular the mining trucks cannot be individually influenced in terms of their travel behaviour. The mining truck, according to the invention, for suspended monorails is intended, in contrast, to permit the possibility of individually influencing its travel behaviour and in particular its speed. For this purpose, control elements are provided on the mining truck itself and/or along the railway, which control elements act on a control circuit which is integrated into the mining truck and itself controls a frequency converter, in such a way that the rpm of the motor and thus the speed of the mining truck can be adapted to prescribed states. By means of the corresponding selection of the control elements, for example as control elements which act in a weight-dependent and/or weight and acceleration-dependent fashion or else as control elements which act on the control circuit in the motor drive so as to decelerate, or completely bring to a stop, the mining truck when it approaches mining trucks travelling ahead or/and obstacles coming up in the travel path.
